Terms & Conditions

 

1. Purpose

These terms and conditions accompany the contractual relationship between [your name] and EuroFIR AISBL [referred to hereafter as “EuroFIR”] for the teaching programme ‘Introduction to Total Diet Studies for Assessing Exposure’ at INSA in Lisbon, Portugal 7th-12th July 2013.

2. Programme fee and delivery

The fee covers the fee per participant and course(s) in EUR including VAT and teaching, handouts and participants’ certificates. EuroFIR has the right to change speakers/ instructors and to modify the course programme, if and when necessary, while maintaining the overall nature of the programme. You will be notified in the case of course cancellation due to force majeure including speakers’ inability to travel due to trouble(s) at the chosen location or low participation. Programme cancellation will be no later than 28 days before commencement [9th June 2013].

3. Payment Date and Payment, Default of Payment

EuroFIR will issue an invoice via email to confirm the acceptance on the course. Payment is due on receipt of the invoice. Where payment is not received or lacking clear direction, EuroFIR may refuse access to the Programme. Payment should be made by bank transfer. Any incurred transaction costs are to be borne by you. Cash or cheques will not be accepted. EuroFIR is not liable for any loss of payment.

4. Cancellation

Cancellation needs to be issued in writing (email) to EuroFIR. Cancellation will be subject to charges as follows:

  • 30 days or more prior to commencement: Programme fee will be reimbursed within 30 days
  • Two (2) weeks to 30 days prior to commencement: 50% of course fee will be retained
  • Non-attendance or cancellation less than two (2) weeks prior to commencement: Programme fee will be retained

5. Copyright

Programme documents are protected by internationally recognised Intellectual Property Rights and are the property of EuroFIR and/ or the individuals delivering the Programme; they may not be duplicated, processed, amended, circulated or published in any way without prior written consent. All rights are reserved.

6. Liability

The Programme has been prepared and will be delivered by qualified speakers and instructors. EuroFIR accepts no liability for the accuracy or completeness of the seminar documentation or the presentation of the seminars. EuroFIR and the individuals involved have made all reasonable efforts to ensure the data/ information is accurate at the time of publication.

7. Applicable Law, Place of Jurisdiction, Place of Performance

All cases shall be governed and construed in accordance with Belgian law to the exclusion of the UN Sales Convention. As far as legally admissible, place of performance and place of exclusive jurisdiction shall be Brussels, Belgium.

8. Data Protection

EuroFIR stores and processes person-specific data but protects personal data by taking appropriate measures. In accordance with the law, all personal data will be used to respond to requests for documentation, orders or other enquiries and send information by post or electronic means, and not sold to another party.
